THE LAW REVIEW WRITING COMPETITION

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE LAW REVIEW WRITING COMPETITION.

THE COMPETITION WILL BE TIMED AND STUDENTS WILL HAVE ONLY TWO WEEKS TO COMPLETE IT.

THE PROCEDURE FOR COMPLETING THE LAW REVIEW WRITING COMPETITION IS:

1. Enroll in the Westlaw TWEN Web Course.
    
2. Read the directions for completing the competition.
    
3. Fill in the eligibility form and submit to Peggy in the Law Review Office. She will assign you a competition number.
    
4. Download the Writing Competition: Once you are in the law review web course, click on the Writing Competition button on the left-hand side of the page. Click on the file Writing_Competition.pdf; and save it to disk.
   
   NOTICE: AS SOON AS YOU CLICK ON THIS FILE, YOU WILL HAVE EXACTLY TWO WEEKS TO COMPLETE THE WRITING COMPETITION. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION OF THE DATE AND TIME THAT IT IS DUE. ANY SUBMISSION AFTER THAT TIME WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. IN ADDITION, NO SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 16 AT 5:00 P.M.
    
5. Convert Your Submission to PDF Format: If you do not have Acrobat or a PDF printer on your computer, go to www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp and upload your file. WHEN PROMPTED TO NAME YOUR FILE - USE YOUR SPRING EXAM NUMBER. It will convert your file to PDF and e-mail it to you for free. If you run into problems and cannot convert your file, don't worry. If you submit your file in another format, we will convert it for you.
    
6. Upload Your Submission to the Web Course: Log back in to the TWEN Writing Comptition Page. Click on the Writing Competition Submission link on the left. Click on the "Submit" button at the top of the next screen. Type in your ASSIGNED COMPETITION NUMBER for your document, find it on your hard drive or disk by clicking "Browse," then click "Submit" at the bottom of the page. Your document will go to the Executive Board's Inbox.
